The Whitaker family is a tightly-knit, middle-class family who are good Samaritans, living out the precept “love your neighbor.” Be it elderly shut-ins, an angry starling bully, a recovering alcoholic, a single teenage mother high school drop-out, or even a disabled young woman, they are not afraid to do whatever they can to help – especially if it means welcoming someone new into their homes, their lives, and their hearts.
